Expertise developed over seventeen years
Our head watchmaker, Krit Phongpan, has worked on mechanical movements since 2007, including a period at a Swiss movement repair facility. He holds membership with the Thailand Watchmakers' Trade Association and follows manufacturer service protocols where documentation exists.

A considered process, not a conveyor belt
Each watch follows the same deliberate steps: visual inspection and condition notes, disassembly in a clean environment, ultrasonic cleaning of components, individual inspection of parts, selective lubrication, reassembly, rate measurement, and a final quality check before packaging. Nothing is skipped to save time.
Communication that doesn't leave you guessing
We know how uncomfortable it is to hand over something valuable and then hear nothing for weeks. At Wela Time, you receive an update when the watch is opened, another if anything unexpected is found, and a final message when it's ready. You're never left to wonder.
Our team communicates in English and Thai. Thanwa, our customer liaison, is also available in Japanese for customers who prefer it.
Pricing that reflects the work, fairly
Our prices reflect what's actually involved. A mechanical service is ฿1,490 because that covers full disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and regulation — not a quick brush and battery. Battery care at ฿2,790 includes new gasket and a pressure test, not just swapping cells.
For vintage restoration, we agree the scope and cost before any work starts, with photographs taken at each stage. There are no surprises at collection.

Before a vintage piece is opened, we photograph the exterior, the dial, and the movement. You receive copies along with the completed work report. It's your record of the watch's condition before and after.

We maintain working relationships with parts suppliers in Switzerland, Germany, and Japan. For vintage restorations, this often makes the difference between a watch that runs again and one that sits unfinished on a shelf.

Rate measurement with every service
